Born in Taos and raised in San Cristobal New Mexico. Max Baptiste is deeply inspired by the natural landscapes and the vibrant culture of his home state, Max creates art that reflects the world around him, primarily through enamel minimalism on glass.
In addition to his work as an artist, Max has established a distinguished career as an art curator. He served as the curator for the Albuquerque International Sunport, where his innovative low rider exhibition earned the airport recognition as one of the top nine airports in the world for art. Demonstrating his commitment to supporting fellow artists, Max founded a nonprofit organization through which he has curated exhibitions for over 720 local artists.
Max’s dedication to his craft and community continues to shape the artistic landscape of New Mexico, making significant contributions to both local and international art scenes.
